Eating Beetles: Fears, Fantasies, and the Future of Food

After centuries of battling insects as a threat, people of European descent are now promoting them as food-sources that can sustainably feed 7 billion people. Meanwhile, billions of people in non-European cultures have been eating bugs for millennia. Based on his book, Eat the Beetles!, David Waltner-Toews will explore the evolution, culture and ecology of our conflicted relationship with insects.
