Toronto Poetry Project is partnering with the International Festival of Authors and the British Council in Canada to launch the Festival’s first Poetry Slam! Like Toronto Poetry Project’s usual events at the Drake Hotel, anyone can perform on the mic in the two-round slam. This high-energy poetry concert will showcase some of the city’s most engaging spoken word artists, entertain and enlighten the audience. Featuring Deanna Rodgers and Dean Atta from London (UK). Hosted by David Silverberg, the artistic director, founder and frequent host of Toronto Poetry Slam.
