Join us for the launch of The Double World: New Writing from InkWell Workshops, a curated compilation of creative writing by 18 local writers with mental health and addictions issues. The celebration will include readings, light refreshments, and a fundraising silent auction.

One in five Canadians experiences a mental health or addiction problem. Writing our stories and sharing them publicly helps challenge stereotypes and increase the diversity of voices in Canadian literature.

InkWell Workshops, the first of its kind in Canada, offers free, drop-in creative writing workshops to people living with mental health and addictions issues. These workshops are led by award-winning authors with lived experience, including David Brock, Kathy Friedman, Jeff Latosik, Stuart Ross, and Kilby Smith-McGregor.

Our workshops are run in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Toronto and are funded by the Ontario Arts Council and the Toronto Arts Council.
