Photography Comes Alive with Music, Poetry, Drama, Dance
Photography comes alive with poetry, music, drama, and dance at Heliconian Hall in Yorkville. The opening reception on Saturday, May 5, 2018, 1 - 4 pm. features Ekphrasis, responses of other arts to visual art (photography). Two different performances begin at 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Photographic artists are Linda Briskin, Katherine Childs, Lucie Collins, Kye Marshall, Mary Perdue, Janne Reuss, Joanne Shenfeld, Jana Skarecky, and Patricia Stamp.
Performers responding to the visual works are dancers Meiko Ando and Aviva Fleising, musicians Kye Marshall and Jana Skarecky, theatre artist Zita Nyarady, and writers Kate Flaherty, Mavis Himes, and Bianca Lakoseljac.
