What could be better than strolling Toronto's Harbourfront, taking in dozens of free readings and panel discussions with the country's finest writers, shopping for books, magazines, and literary gifts, all while snacking at delicious food trucks and stalls?

That dreamy scenario is coming once again to Toronto on Sunday, September 23, 2018: it's The Word on the Street Toronto, one of the most unique literary festivals around, with adult, teen, kids', and family programming all day long. 

You can get into The Word on the Street Toronto swing of things by entering to win an incredible prize pack of books, courtesy of the festival. The Vibrant Voices stage features readings by talented Ontario authors, and you could win an incredible list of books from six of the writers involved.

To enter, send us a note at contests@open-book.ca, telling us your name, address, and which book in the prize pack you're most excited to read. Please use the subject line "WOTS Vibrant Voices". All entries must be received by 12:00pm (noon) on Monday, September 17, 2018.

Two (2) winners will be chosen at random and informed via email. Prize packs are available courtesy of The Word on the Street Toronto, Guernica Editions, Douglas & McIntyre, Coach House Books, Vagrant Press, and ECW Press.

The Word On The Street is a is a national celebration of literacy and the written word. Each September, in communities coast to coast, the public is invited to participate in hundreds of author events, presentations and workshops and to browse a marketplace that boasts the best selection of Canadian books and magazines you'll find anywhere.

The Word On The Street takes place in Toronto at the Harbourfront Centre (235 Queen Quay West) on Sunday, September 23, 2018 and features dozens of fantastic author readings, kids programming, author signings, food tents and much more. This year, the WOTS+ initiative also features programming on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
