Gather for an evening of true stories told live and without notes, as part of the 43rd Toronto International Festival of Authors (September 22 – October 2). The Moth brings the power of personal storytelling to millions of people each year, creating community and building empathy around the world. The Moth Mainstage is the quintessential Moth experience, bringing five tellers to the stage in two acts, each sharing a personal moment in time: jumping without a net, diving deep and exploring unchartered territories. Since each story is true and every voice authentic, the show will dance between documentary and theatre, creating a unique, intimate and often enlightening experience for the audience. Don’t miss “New York’s hottest and hippest literary ticket” (The Wall Street Journal) in town for one night only, at Toronto’s Koerner Hall, to experience this internationally renowned storytelling phenomenon.

The Moth is true stories, told live and without notes. We celebrate the ability of true, personal storytelling to illuminate both the diversity and commonality of human experience. Our work allows people all over the world and from all walks of life: astronauts, students, a dental hygienist, a hotdog eating champion, a mechanic, exonerated prisoners, veterans, Nobel laureates and everyone in between, to share their stories on stage in front of a live audience. Through live and virtual shows, storytelling workshops, a podcast, Peabody Award-winning Radio Hour, and New York Times Bestselling books, The Moth brings the power of personal storytelling to millions of people each year.
