André Alexis, Megan Gail Coles, Stéphane Larue Included in CBC Books' Best Canadian Fiction of 2019
December is a time for many things: eating and drinking too much, catching up with family and friends, and of course...year-end lists!
Among all the 'best of' rundowns that pop up online at the end of every year, the CBC Books lists are consistently some of the most anticipated. Whether you're on the hunt for a literary-minded gift idea or you're looking to catch up on books you may have overlooked in 2019, they provide a great place to start. This year, their roundup of the year's best Canadian fiction includes André Alexis for his Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize-winning novel Days by Moonlight (Coach House), Scotiabank Giller Prize-finalist Megan Gail Coles for Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club (House of Anansi), and Stéphane Larue for his Governor General's Award-nominated novel The Dishwasher (Biblioasis).
