Book Trailer: The Toronto Book of the Dead Compiles the City's Weirdest Moments in a Morbid Past
For the morbidly curious out there, you can now get local with your obsessions courtesy of Adam Bunch's The Toronto Book of the Dead (Dundurn Press). An accessible, quirky local history with a decidedly dark twist, the book examines everything from notable duels and suicides to séances, plagues, and more.
Dundurn has created a book trailer interview with Bunch, who shares one particularly weird (and possibly romantic, depending on your tastes) tale from the book. (As a bonus, you can hear Adam use the original pronunciation of "Spadina"!)
A familiar name to Toronto history junkies, Bunch has written about the city for Spacing Magazine, Torontoist and the Huffington Post. He's also the founder of the Toronto Dreams Project.
