Live Stream Today: Writers' Trust Fellows Discuss Writing During a Pandemic
Wondering how the current pandemic is affecting Canadian writers?
Today, the Writers' Trust of Canada is hosting "Inside Voices", a one-hour conversation with recipients Michael Crummey, Miriam Toews, Eden Robinson, and Heather O'Neill, moderated by Tanya Talaga, which will dive into how authors are staying productive (or failing to!) during such strange and challenging times.
Tune in today at 10am PT/11am MT/12pm CT/1pm ET/2pm AT/2:30pm NT via YouTube or Facebook Live to listen to the discussion. Questions for the panelists can be sent by commenting in the Facebook event page linked above, or using the hashtag #WTInsideVoices on Twitter or Instagram.
Together with the Writers' Union of Canada and RBC, the Writers' Trust has also set up The Canadian Writers Emergency Relief Fund, an initiative to benefit Canadian authors and illustrators facing a loss of income as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. The deadline for the second round of applications expires at 11:59 PT today, but those still interested in applying can do so by visiting their website. Those wishing to make a donation can do so by clicking here.
