Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library, University of Toronto Libraries, 130 St. George St., Toronto ON M5S 1A5
Join Joy Kogawa, Bishop Patrick Yu, and Olivia Chow for a public conversation ahead of its time. Director of the Chengue Yu Tun East Asian Library, Hana Kim, will moderate and participate in a conversation speaking to both the heavy topics and inspirational opportunities available to reconciling the relationships between Chinese, Japanese, and other people of Asian heritage. Emerging through the collective history of trauma to craft a new future for our children and grandchildren is the focus of this sincere introspection into what makes us forgive and learn to love whole-heartedly.
The public is invited to bring their questions to the panel. Seating is limited. Admission is free. Light refreshments provided. All are welcome. Books will be available for sale by Nikkei Books. The author will be available for signing.
