Finalists for the 2020 RBC Taylor Prize will be revealed at a Toronto press conference on Wednesday, January 8, trustees for the Charles Taylor Foundation have announced.
This year's shortlist will feature five authors selected from the longlist of twelve, which was previously announced in December.
Foundation chair Noreen Taylor, president of RBC PH&N Investment Counsel Vijay Parmar, and juror Margaret Atwood will be on hand to deliver the news at 10 am sharp.
The prize, now in its final year and marking its 20th anniversary, celebrates excellence in the field of literary nonfiction. All finalists will receive a cash prize of $5000 with the winner taking home an additional prize of $25,000.
