Second Story Press Reveals an Exciting New Logo on the Heels of Ownership Transfer
At the start of the year we shared the news that OBPO member publisher Second Story Press would have a transfer in ownership, with long-serving Co-Founder Margie Wolfe handing over the reins to General Manager Phuong Truong, who has been with the press for two decades. Now, a few months later, Second Story has decided to rebrand with a new logo, which looks ahead to the future as it pays tribute to the past.
The new logo features a pair of striking red reading glasses that are modelled on those that Wolfe used to wear, according to Truong, who goes on to say that “they are a tribute to (Wolfe's) incalculable contributions to the company and her incomparable fashion sense.” The logo was designed by in-house Production Manager, Laura Atherton.
The mandate of Second Story Press has been set since its founding in 1988, with a focus on publishing feminist works that break barriers and inspire crucial social change. The press is committed to promoting inclusivity and justice, and the logo is a reflection of this storied past and the bright future of the press as their torch is carried onward.
So, keep an eye out for this exciting new logo as it appears on the exciting titles published by Second Story in the coming weeks, months, and years!
